W.R. GRACE COMPANY AWARD MEDALS

The W.R. Grace Company awarded these medals to employees for longevitity of service with their company. The W.R. Grace company is a very old, well established, multi-faceted company, which grew out of their worldwide shipping lines. The ship shown on these medals is very typical of the early ships used by W.R. Medals are struck by Medallic Art Company. They are 89mm (about 3.5 inches in diameter). The silver medal weighs in at almost 8 Troy Ounces.

A very uncommon early pair of medals. Both medals awarded to the same individual, one for 21 years of service (Dated 1937 - bronze) and the other for 30 years of service (Dated 1946 - sterling silver). These medals have been together since 1946 (about 70 years). Both medals have original presentation boxes. Boxes are in good condition.
